SCV

Our Charge given to us on 04/25/1906 by Gen. Stephen Dill Lee.

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish. "

About The St. Johns Rangers

Civil War

Our members

The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), Camp 1360 are male descendants of Confederate veterans who served honorably during the war. Members come from different walks in life but are united in the SCV by their desire to honor their ancestors and preserve their rightful place in American history in an accurate and truthful manner.

Our Mission

The SCV Camp 1360, St. Johns Rangers are dedicated to preserving the honor and history of our ancestors who fought for their homes, families, and rights under the flag of the Confederate States of America. Our mission is to educate our fellow Americans about who our Confederate ancestors were, what they fought for, and what can be learned from their sacrifices on behalf of the Confederate Cause. With historical facts previously taught in school and government archive documents, SCV Camp 1360 exposes the modern divisive term "Myth of The Lost Cause" as a lie to divide America and propagate victim mentality in our society.

What we do

SCV Camp 1360 members are dedicated to exposing the modern term of "Myth of the Lost Cause" as the lie it is when it was first coined in 2012. The Confederate Cause has never been nor ever will be a "Lost Cause". The Confederate Cause was and still is the Cause of American Liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Upon admittance to SCV Camp 1360, members must swear a sacred oath in front of their Camp to uphold and defend both, and that is what we do; just like our Confederate ancestors.
